Snore while sleeping can be experienced by anyone. But most people are overweight are more prone to snoring or snoring during sleep. Why is that?
There are many causes of snoring during sleep, due to a trivial problem but can sometimes also be an indication of serious health problems. Is estimated that nearly half of adults snore.
Snoring or the snoring is caused by a narrowing of the throat and the air will go through or over, as quoted from Mayoclinic, Saturday (16/06/2012).
One of the most common cause of snoring is the result of obesity and overweight. In obese people the excessive tissue can constrict the throat making snoring more likely.
Additionally obese people tend to have too much body fat, and some fat is collected in certain body parts like the neck and throat area.
Fat in the neck and throat will constrict the airways making it difficult to breath. When someone is lying, his position will further narrow the airways, making snoring so part of the body for trying to pick up oxygen.
And increased fat also affect good muscle tissue and lose muscle mass and loose tissue in the throat becomes so much easier to snore.
If purely due to obesity usually by losing weight can often fix the problem. But if obesity is combined with other causes, it would require further treatment.
Sometimes people who snore may also suffer from sleep apnea refers to a disruption of breathing for 10 seconds or more. Sleep apnea can occur several times in one night and interfere with normal sleep quality.
Some things could be a clue that experienced snoring more than just a sleep disorder that is common to feel sleepy during the day, frequent urination when the night or early morning headache.
